Re: New firmware D5500/5700 T-MST5DEUC_1021.1
I have updated my TV-set to this version and I haven't noticed any change. The damned SmartTV interface still starts very very very slowly because of the bad idea of programming the interface in java script.

Briefly, no, because the 5500 series and the 6500 have different processor architectures.

Re: Skype on D5500
up does D5500 support web browser App? Virtually, it does. The D5500 series has a MIPS CPU and if someone writes the code (and if it isn't already written), it is possible to have a web browser. The problem is the D5XYZ series is rather an cheap one and Samsung does not want to spend more money tha...

I don`t think so. But are you guys crazy about browser in TV? Seems this is most wanted function for all models where browser doesnt exist. :) I would like not to be so dependent on those lousy news widgets that are installed on my TV-set. The only choice would be a web browser and I do want it! Di...

Re: Skype on D5500
The D5500 series TV sets lack a microphone, unless you hack the firmware to handle a USB camera with microphone! I find a web browser far more useful than Skype (which you may install on your smartphone anyway).

Re: [VOTING] Most wanted D series user widget list (11.03.20
I would like to have a web browser on my D5500 model. So far, I have learnt how to install an application using a web server (I haven't tried an installation yet) and the applications are written mostly in Java Script. But I wasn't able to find a web browser app. Can someone point to a dump of such ...

Re: [Hack 3D] Samsung UE32D5500 to 3D UE32D6000
Another question: is the Mstar processor powerful enough to be able to make the D5500 model play 3D content? Moreover, where can I find more information about this processor?

Re: ruSamsungTVCommunicator Trojan?
More on the subject: I have noticed ruSamsungTVCommunicator uses the AutoIt engine. I have read about it and this engine is quite nasty! It is used by many malware programmers. Now I would like to know how ruSamsungTVCommunicator uses this engine! Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find a decompiler. Y...
