When the js9000 was released, the OCB worked with F9000 without problems, but it appears Samsung disabled that with firmware update at some point. I have no idea if this can still be enabled in service menu.

Re: UE46ES8000 & Sek-1000
This error message usually means that the region of your TV and evolution kit don't match. If that's the case then there is nothing you can do about it.

Re: J Rooting.
I can give it a try if it helps.
I have F9000 with sek-3500U. It is running same firmware as JS9000 and JS9500 (T-HKPDEUC).
Im still on 1440.8, so I can update/downgrade to any version that is needed.

Re: sek1000
Root was possible on SEK-1000, at least I had root and I made a topic here how I got it. Not sure if this still works on latest firmware.
So search for older posts.

Re: RE: Re: J Rooting.
Yeah it looks J will become K, and K will become J [emoji14] Well, it's not as if K wasn't already rooted anyway (internally/experimentally, but rooted) ;) That said, I'm not sure that K has very different looking compared to J. If "K software" means no more "old-style" widgets,...

Re: J Rooting.
There is a rumour that Samsung was planning to release a big update for high end J series TVs in december. Last year TVs were sold with the promise of evolution kits, but no evolution kits were released this year and someone at Samsung told the press (there's a video on YouTube) that they will relea...

Re: RE: Re: Firmware download list for J Series
Hello everyone, 1470 update for my 48J5600 broke anynet+ (hdmi-cec) function that I used for connecting with Raspberry Pi (the pilot is not working at all now)... Unfortunatelly phone consultant at Samsung says that Samsung does not guarantee anynet+ compatibility for devices other than samsung's a...

Re: Wifi problem "Wireless mac fail"
I think your WiFi chip is dead. Wifi/BT chip died in my E8000 two times in one year... And I have read many posts on different forums with the same problem on E series.
