Re: Sideloading apps through USB on Tizen
So you can't just browse the file structure of a rooted Tizen TV over FTP and make a copy of the relevant app folder?

Re: Sideloading apps through USB on Tizen
Strange, I did try the Plex app that I've linked to above just the other day. And it's the newest beta that was just released last month. Tizen Studio sounds interesting. However, how would I get my hands on some of those official apps I'd like to side load? For example, I'd like to set my region to...

Sideloading apps through USB on Tizen
On my old pre-Tizen Samsung TVs I was able to simply side load apps from other regions but copying them on to a USB flash drive and hook it up to the TV. I is my understanding, that this is no longer possible on newer Tizen TVs. However, I've just seen that the folks over at Plex provide beta versio...

Re: Enabling PVR?
Cool to hear that you managed to get the PVR working :D . My model is a UE49NU7105 and I am located in Denmark That's strange. For what I was able to gather online, you shouldn't be able to enable the PVR on NU71xx series TVs. :o Could you maybe go into details which settings you touched in the ser...

Re: [ROOT] K ROOT on T-JZ* and T-HK* fws up to 1169
This version won't work on the MU-series, right? Or can it be adopted to work on those devices as well?

Manually download and backup Tizen apps?
With SamyGo being available on the K-series, is it possible to manually download installed apps from the tv? On older Samsung TVs you could just FTP into the device once you had root access and backup the installed apps to you computer. Can you do that as well on the K-series? And maybe use the deve...

Re: Smarthub server IPs and Tizen apps download url
Getting back to the topic at hand: On the old SmartHub-based TVs you could sniff out the URLs used by the system to manually download apps on your computer. You could than copy the downloaded apps to a USB stick and directly sideload the apps by just connecting the usb stick to the tv. That way I've...

Is root on the M and Q-series ever going to happen? Or is just technically not possible?
