Read on another forum about someone else that was having a similar issue to me. He advised to factory reset the tv and SmartHub, pull the power cord out the back of tv for 10 minutes and then reconnect. Thought to myself , waste of time, but since i done this yesterday morning the tv hasn't rebooted...

Thanks for the reply. I thought as much. Its wayyyyy too aggressive on the lower end E series plasmas. Had hoped there would have been a way to adjust it or disable it but it doesnt look likely.

Glewarne any update on how you've been getting on with the SM seeing as you've had a bit of time to play with the settings?

I have a PS51E530 Samsung that acts like a strobelight when watching bright images. Net info suggests its an overly aggressive Automatic Brightness Limiter (ABL). Is there anyway this can be adjusted or is it part of the mainboard?

Sky tv is murder for it, does it all the time. Havent had it on a 24p Bluray but have noticed it on Xbox 360 sometimes although is quite rare.
