I'm testing on UE40K5502 Samsung Smart TV.
Then why do you post in E Series? Won't work on K. No known way (except... Android SDK !!)

Re: TV speaker and headphones at the same time

I guess patchable, but no idea atm. Moreover not easy to test on K where there is no headphone plug :D
Spdif converter is good (and cheap: ~5$ incl. cable from China ;)) solution imho, otherwise while using BT headphones (if TV supports BT) there's an option to mute internal speakers or not.

Otherwise you still can use "root for latest fw" method which will work up to... latest! But not as friendly, needs permanent USB et...

When you see tv updated it's often too late... What is router, for not to advise it?
I find funny how many routers are faulty for some time :)

Re: Start RaspberryPi with TV

Still no idea about CEC :)
Maybe try on/off and off/on combinations of both instant on options, actually we didn't get the difference between them, so who knows...

Re: Start RaspberryPi with TV

No idea about CEC, but if you want TV to enter true standby (therefore be sure of USB power cut), you have to disable "Instant On" and "Always Instant On Support" in service menu (Option -> MRT Option).
