Re: [App] Rooting E/F on latest firmwares
Sorry, edited above, I had given 128mb.xfs path for public root (too used to...), yours is simply on USB. I even wonder if simply relaunching "Install SamyGo" widget shoudn't do the job in your case to recover root if you loose it :) Lost root again and running the app got my root back. S...

Re: Netflix app latest version
Does anyone have an answer to this? I am looking for the same.
Would be a shame if I had to buy a Chromecast just to watch Netflix while having a smart TV.

Re: [App] Rooting E/F on latest firmwares
Hmm, I am wondering now when the widget appears, as I believe it dissapears after install. Will just backup the 128mb.xfs file and will see next time I loose root.

Re: [App] Rooting E/F on latest firmwares
Took me quite long to figure out how to root again and to turn off the vusb & mount my shares manually (much faster and always works). But now I made myself some instructions for the next time.
Is not updating the Smart Hub an option? Or does it update by itself?

Re: [App] Rooting E/F on latest firmwares
Hmm, rooted my ES6300 through this method some time ago. But all of a sudden last week it stopped working (no ftp/telnet access, no mounts). Today I rooted again and everything works again, but I was wondering how this could happen? I have OTN off (service menu).
Anyone an idea?

Re: No samba shares on virtual USB
I've read your topics, that's why I got this far. I own a ES63000 with latest firmware (1033). And I do have the share working. But only if I manually load cifs.ko and mount the share. Even with above changes tot 04_04_samba.init. I believe that file isn't working correct for some reasonm because it...

Re: No samba shares on virtual USB
Ok. I managed to mount the share by manually loading cifs.ko and mounting the share with the next commands: insmod /mnt/lib/modules/2.6.35.13/kernel/fs/cifs/cifs.ko mount -o username=guest, password= -t cifs //192.168.2.253/samba /dtv/usb/sdj/smb Whereas I manually created the /dtv/usb/sdj/smb direct...

Re: No samba shares on virtual USB
Doesn't it have something to do with the cifs not being loaded?
