Re: Hacking TV over Hotel mode (most C series models)
Managed to get part this problem by doing a factory reset and then backing up the channels with no channels stored. I've successfully written back the channel list but now I'm getting the "failed to receive" error. So I followed the instructions and added network_opt/usr/sbin/usb_mount to ...

Re: Hacking TV over Hotel mode (most C series models)
I'm getting an "invalid channel list" error when trying to import the amended scm file (i.e. added usb_mount and 1.txt). Ridiculously, just discovered that I get the error even if I try to import an unmodified file! Any ideas what I can do?

Re: Upgrading from 3005.1 widget hack to 3009.2
I finally bit the bullet and updated. Was very happy to see that I didn't need to peform any new hack as the widget hack has been retained. Edit ------------------------- Ignore that, the TV downloaded the firmware but it didn't actually install it. I got a pop=up message telling me I could upgrade ...

Re: Upgrading from 3005.1 widget hack to 3009.2
Thanks :D On reading http://wiki.samygo.tv/index.php?title=Hacking_C5xx(x),_C65x(x)over_Hotel_mode again, it looks like if the TV is already hacked with the widget hack, one doesn't use the channel or settings export and instead creates the USB from the image and then runs first_run.sh. As the image...

Re: Problem with hacking LE40C650 FW T-VALDEUC-3009.2
I found the same on my 3005 export to USB in Hotel mode. There's another channel export option which does produce an SCM file if you switch your tv to an aerial source and then go into the channel menu. I haven't actually used this yet to hack my TV so I don't know if it works or whether 3009 export...

Upgrading from 3005.1 widget hack to 3009.2
There are so many posts flying about that I'm finding it difficult to work out whether I can upgrade from 3005.1 with the widget hack to 3009.2 and stlll be able to access my SMB shares. It looks like it is possible but I want to make sure so I was hoping someone could validate this approach for me....

Re: SKYPE ON C650
oh, it's usefull! we can see that skype wigdet is described like any other. If you would copy and provide skype binary and icon- I can immediately test how c6500 reacts to skype ;) I believe skype binary on your tv is directory: /mtd_rwcommon/widgets/normal/16101000001/ The only two files in that d...

Re: SKYPE ON C650
Yes, although again, the information isn't too useful: <widget id="16101000001" name="Skype" childlock="false" removable="true" favorite="false" executed="1" installedDate="20101230153940621" > <icon type="normal">icon/s...
