smarthub no apps
Hi, Yesterday my 46F8090 became troubled, it was running T-FXPDEUC_1130.0. I couldn't switch it off any longer with the remote, also the joystick at the back doesn't respond. At first I thought it was the root usb stick, so I removed this and thought the problem was solved. I also had a weird popup ...

Re: [App] Rooting E/F on latest firmwares
Yeah, that;s clear to me, but the question is which scripts are needed for the root to work.juusso wrote:*.dis (OR any other ending except *.init) means script is disabled and is NOT executed at startup.
*.init means script is active and starts during tv bootup.
I want to disable all except the mandatory ones !

Re: [App] Rooting E/F on latest firmwares
What init scripts in /mnt/etc/init.d/ are mandatory for the root to work ? I now have these in my /mnt/etc/init.d/ folder, I also see some duplicates (.dis / .remi71) and so on. 01_01_catch_crap.init 01_02_telnet.init 01_03_hotplug.init.dis 01_04_server_replacement.init.dis 01_05_framebuffer.init.di...

Re: [App] Rooting E/F on latest firmwares
I have some problems with the root of my 46F8090 (T-FXPDEUC_1128.1). It looks like the samygoautostart doesn't work properly, I have some weird issues. Normally I watch tv via a VU+ Solo SE connected by hdmi and Anynet+ enabled. When I switch on the tv my receiver and Vu+ also power on by hmdi-cec....

Re: [App] Rooting E/F on latest firmwares
OK, I downgraded from 1128.1 to 1115.0, but I still have the same issues I had with 1128.1.zoelechat wrote:No more than upgradinggjstroom wrote:can I expect any other trouble with downgrading ?
I also did several factory resets, I use the new root method, not the Skype root hack.

Re: [App] Rooting E/F on latest firmwares
Factory reset normally resets "only nvram" so nothing should be lost. Anyway, if you keep your USB in state, you should just have to relaunch installation widget to recover root and everything. Factory reset is done by: menu, support, self diagnosis, reset ? I'd have said the service menu...
