FYI, I decided that there were enough input lag and picture improvements to give up root. So I updated my rooted T-GFP8AKUC from 1123 to 2131 using the USB method, and was surprised to see it was still rooted! I then went to 2143 and still have root as well. I just successfully rooted my UN55HU8550 with firmware T-GFP8AKUC-1123.7! # uname -a Linux (none) 3.8.13 #1 SMP PREEMPT Wed Apr 9 11:10:22 KST 2014 armv7l GNU/Linux Since this firmware is very old, I would like to update it to the latest rootable firmware.
