Re: Guide to record to a network share for H series?

Sorry guys, it's been too long. I kept putting this off, but now I created a startup script that should move your recordings from USB to a network share and set up the symlink as needed. You need to edit it and set your network recording path (example inside). The code is here: https://github.com/ma...

Re: [API] SamyGO web API

Nice. Good luck with it! Try not to have many simultaneous calls to the API because it will either fail, or risk crashing the TV. This is because to extract data I have to inject some libraries into a running process and if there are many injections it can fail. There is a locking mechanism inside t...

You're right zoelechat, now it works without crashing. Thanks.
I also added libAlert support and updated the first post.

Re: [API] SamyGO web API

I've added support for libRunWidget (https://forum.samygo.tv/viewtopic.php?f=63&t=9306) and updated the first post with examples. Sadly, it crashes my H6400 when I try to run a widget (even via the command line), but give it a try on other systems: [root@tv rwcommon]# /mnt/opt/privateer/usr/bin/samy...

Re: Controlling a SamyGO TV through Home Assistant

@teprrr: I know it's been almost a year, but I hadn't had time to try your component until now. It looks great! It would also need to have Program+/Program- mapped to the Next/Previous controls, and maybe the screenshot functionality exposed as well (though the component may expect only a static alb...

I don't know. I haven't looked into them. The root author should know better.

Re: [API] SamyGO web API

Do you mean showing an alert on-screen injected via the API? Sure. Can you show me an example alert via the command line?

Re: [ROOT] H "Skype refueled" root (FW<=Dec.2014, all T-GFS)

I don't know of an official documentation, but you can have a look at the "root" script to see what it does. Most of the TV's filesystem is read-only, so files are copied on the rw storage and mounted on boot via a patched call to skype.

Re: [ROOT] H "Skype refueled" root (FW<=Dec.2014, all T-GFS)

Troubleshooting tips: try to disable whatever is enabled (except telnet) and enable them one by one to see which one triggers the instability. Another option might be to install the libPowerOff library to keep the tv awake in standby. This way you reduce the incidence of the bug: https://forum.samyg...
