Re: [App] Rooting E, F (and H?) Bluray
Hi, FTP on bluray E6100, after one hour of copying files, it stops. I can't copy huge files, because after one hour, in the middle of copying, FTP disconnect Same on my BD. I think I had to use an ftp client that is able to reconnect and resume, such as lftp on linux. (Can't give any advice for win...

Re: [App] Rooting E, F and H Bluray
This is not feasible for the BD-E with integrated DVB-S, as it can receive updates via satellite and that option can't be turned off at all. Unplugging the Sat is obviously not an option.
Trying out this rooting method on BD-E is a futile exercise.

Re: [App] Rooting E and F Bluray
Tried with or without internet, reprovisioned usb key with FAT16 and FAT32, on two different sticks (ok, I did not try all 8 possible combinations, but you get the idea). No icon. Even tried some other tricks (letting the dialog time out, plugging in the usb while smarthub is running...). BTW I just...

Re: RE: Re: [App] Rooting E and F Bluray
try resetting smarthub with usb plugged in, it works for me when I have trouble displaying the icon/installer in smarthub I've reset smarthub around 3 times now, with usb plugged in, without effect (other than getting rid of all those useless junk apps). Hmm. (For the record, it's in the extras men...

Hm, not sure what you mean by "resetting smarthub". Some option in the tool menu?

Re: [App] Rooting E and F Bluray
Giving up.
I lost root (no open ports ending with 23), and provisioned a new usb stick with fresh files, but I can't get the installer to appear.

Re: [App] Rooting E and F Bluray
Hi! I've applied the procedure on my BD-E8909S with firmware 1018. First time I removed usb stick after booting, I know that was a mistake... Yesterday I tried again and left the stick in the whole time. Like the other poster with an E-series BD, the SamyGO icon in SmartHub is empty for me. When I c...
