Ok thanks. Before I go ahead, do you know if existing apps will work and be re-downloaded? Family do use Netflix and plex apps quite a lot. Would be good to know positives and negatives of rooting the tv.

hi, ive blocked router update addresses and turned off otn updates in service menu. Do I need to downgrade tv firmware to apply root?
