My TV has terrible image retention.
Is this usually a sign of worn out LCD panel or T-CON board?

Thank you for your advice, I thought as much.
It's a shame firmware chip cannot easily be replaced, not to worry I have sourced a cheap replacement board so should at least get it working again.
I will start a new post with another question.

Hi all. I tried to update LE40A556P1FXXU firmware via USB and there was an AC power disruption. TV power led functions as normal but screen remains dead and I cannot now press SOURCE on TV and POWER on remote to try reflashing. Would shorting EEPROM help start TV again? If so can you suggest IC to w...
