Re: [App] SamyGO NoDRM E/F (MST only)
NoDRM serves for removing/disabling TV-owned encryption (and it still does that perfectly well), not for media DRM, so the answer to your question is probably "no". But I don't use that kind of input streams, so I can't be absolutely sure. Why not quickly try yourself for your desired medi...

This appears to be a quite common issue; I had to suffer from it myself.
Did you search for "f series boot loop" in this forum? E.g. here?
After turning watchdog off, I was able to use my F again (and ever since).

Re: PVR Decoder for Linux/Unix/Mac OS X (Console Script)
Connect to your rooted TV (putty, FileZilla, ...) and check folder /dtv/usb. You'll find the connected USB devices there. To determine the correct one (where you'll find your recordings) is up to you. And yes, the USB device containing your recordings should be connected to your TV in order to deter...

Re: [App] "Skype replacement" root E/F
I assume you were referring to the USB device you used for rooting, ie. the device that provided the necessary files like Samy-GO app. Right? In that case, and with this rooting method: Yes, you may remove the device after rooting your TV; it is not required to activate rooting after the TV had been...

Well, in that case I'm out of ideas. Sorry.
I hope that some other kind soul will be able to provide explanations and/or guidance.

Re: [App] Rooting E/F on latest firmwares
Hmmm, would mean that "which" still doesn't detect an active "samyGOso"...
What output do you get from?

Code: Select all
cd /mnt/opt/privateer/usr/bin/
./samyGOso
./samyGOso.old

Re: [App] Rooting E/F on latest firmwares
Well, I'm quite certain that the name of the file you're looking for is "samyGOso", and not "samyGoso"...
The file you named on your commandline isn't there, and because of that the "which" command doesn't send "a response".

Re: [App] Rooting E/F on latest firmwares
Sorry, I'm unsure about the meaning of "not getting any responds"... Perhaps it might help to understand that Linux derivatives generally follow the PATH environment setting, and that the <current path> not necessarily is part of its value. So you might want to first check with which samyG...

Or, somehow translated :
Shell-Login to your rooted TV, then check the SamyGOso instances you'll find. Versions 1.2.4 and 1.2.5 report their version indication when executed, older ones don't. You might want to have quick glance at a (partly) related discussion from last year here.

Re: [App] "Skype replacement" root E/F
Hi tanfan, first I assume that your TV is UE39 F 5370ss, and not UE39 D 5370. In that case, you'd be in the wrong part of the forum. Then, I'm missing the most important first instruction in your listed sequence of actions, which is to extract the archive attached to the first post (the instruction ...
