Neat, I'm gonna try that once I have some free time, thanks!
Feel free to do so. Don't forget to modify 99_100_AmbiLight.init so that SERVER_IP and SERVER_PORT are the ones of the homelight-server, instead of the ESP8266

Re: [App] libAmbiLight E/F/H (MST-only)

Are you actually planning on realizing any of the ToDos from post #1 like smartphone control? Actually, I have something already working :D, but this requires an additional RaspberryPi (or any other linux-computer, that is accessible from within the LAN) to work. This server kind of acts as a centr...

Re: [App] libAmbiLight E/F/H (MST-only)

Anyhow, it's strange, that H_LEDS:36 V_LEDS:20 crashes the tv and H_LEDS:36 V_LEDS:18 doesn't. Might it have to be a 2:1 ratio? I had a bug in my code which is now fixed and should work with H_LEDS:36 V_LEDS:20 My physical Setup is 70 horizontal LEDs and 38 vertical ones (on each side). I used to u...

Re: [App] libAmbiLight E/F/H (MST-only)

Hmmm...
I will have a look, what happens if I use 36/20, or 53/29.

Re: [App] libAmbiLight E/F/H (MST-only)

Since the log-outputs do writing-operations to the TV, which cause a huge load to the system, I disabled them by default. They're only visible when using TEST parameter.

The flashing between two colors is strange.
Can you test with different color-orders, like GBR, GRB... etc... and see what happens?

MST. The Script does work. It just works for a short period of time.
Aaah, sorry... I just realized I uploaded the TEST-lib with TEST set default to 1.
Please use the new libAmbiLight.zip provided in my first post.

So version two seems to be working for me. What do I have to do, to make it work permanently and not stop after a second with "[AmbiLight] AmbiLight ended" in the log?
Do you have MST or non-MST device? Script only works for MST-devices.

Re: [App] libAmbiLight E/F/H (MST-only)

The leds go off briefly (for a second or so) and then go back to the same dimmed white They don't go off, they show the first 10 pixel-values that they receive from your tv, so since your values are nearly all[0,0,0] that means, that the strip has nothing to show. After not receiving any data from ...

Re: [App] libAmbiLight E/F/H (MST-only)

Update: I implemented the COLOR option from libScreenShot for those of you with strange colors. Also added a SLEEP option to increase the sleep-timeout if you happen to experience crashes. What exactly does the COLOR option do? I would have expected the option to have parameters to switch one color...
