Re: Record TV over USB

Hi, First, thanks for this great tool! The problem with not enough space on destination may be caused by the improper detection when mounting the samba/nfs share. I usually get 9.8/10 MB frees space detected by the TV. One solution is to use the re-written usb_mount utility, developed by sorcerer1. ...

Re: Record TV over USB

Hi, I tried this last version on CI+ B653T5P. Here is the result: - the recorded media seems directly playable now, image and sound are OK. I don't need to repair it. - the aspect ratio works - the application always uses /dtv/usb/sda1 path for recording, even if I have a different one defined - the...

Re: New firmware T-CHLCIPDEUC-2008.2

Well, I cannot see any important differences. I attach a diff report of the two files obtained by comparing the sorted symbol tables exported by IDA from exeDSP. Maybe someone else can understand more from that.

Re: New firmware T-CHLCIPDEUC-2008.2

Hi,

Comparing the files from T-CHLCIPDEUC-2008.2 with the ones from T-CHLCIPDEUC-2007.1, we can see that only 4 libraries where modified and exeDSP.

Re: OSDcap - Screen (OSD) capture application

Nice utility, geo650!
Can this method be used in PVR application to record live video from other sources than internal tuner, like HDMI STB?
This way, any encryption can be bypassed.

Re: Rollback on old FW...

What I've done: - decrypted the 2006.0 firmware - got version_info.txt with content "SWU_T-CHLCIPDEUC_002006_I02_ES000DS000_091112" and renamed it to Version.1 (already got Version.0 on /mtd_rwarea) - copied the 2 images and Version.1 file over to USB stick - put stick into TV and bml.restore'd the ...

Re: Rollback on old FW...

Hi, Big bad news here, I've tried to downgrade firmware from T-CHLCIPDEUC 2007.1 to 2006.0 according to the famous "Forced revert back to older firmware" thread, BUT BRIKED MY TV! I did it all like it said there, and now TV starts, seems to work OK, but it shuts down automatically after aprox. 1 min...

Re: Tool for the MessageBox Service on the TV

Hi, There is a project, named Developer Tools for UPnP, found here http://opentools.homeip.net/dev-tools-for-upnp/ . With their DeviceSpy tool, one can find all services exposed by the TV. Attached is a snapshot. Besides the MessageBoxService, the TV exposes 3 other services: AVTransport, Connection...

Re: Record TV over USB

Works OK on my TV. I'm using it with a Samba share. Tested with 4:3 and 16:9 standard definition and also with HD, 16:9, regular and letter boxed stations. One issue is that for the resulting file contains too many unnecessary streams, 15 streams in total, like - EPG from other channels: "EPG Discov...

Re: Readahead for HD Video Playback CIFS/NFS/FTP over Wi-Fi

Thanks a lot! I will try it tomorrow. Update: It works better! Thanks! If I press pause for a few seconds, enough for the cache to fill, the video runs much smoother than the regular Samba. Still, my bottleneck must be somewhere between USB HDD->Router->Network, because I get around 20 Mbs transfer ...
