HT-D5500 SamyGO extensions

Hi All, I was wondering, I was playing with the SamyGO Patched firmware, and I have yet to be able to use it in any sensible way. Does anybody using the FIR based firmware, which downgrades fine, got SamyGO extensions to work properly on their system? I.e. do you get a virtual USB drive? Looking mor...

Re: HT-D5550

Hi, the cinavia is not in 1 particular bit in the audio stream, it is more in many bits, and if these bits reach a certain amount the message is displayed. I.e. if you start playing the DVD a couple of weeks later from the position you saw the initial cinavia, it should not appear until the next ~20...

Re: HT-D5550

Hi Gore, Well the time for cinavia to show up is not always the same. It depends on how it is encoded in the audio stream. I had movies that were triggered after 15 min some after 25min. With 1007 you should not have cinavia in the firmware. Have you tried updating it to version 1112 that is availab...

Re: Extended power cable ?

I can understand you are worried about the guarantee. By the way can you unscrew the white piece? If so, your warranty wont be affected, just reconnect the white piece to the original cable if you have to send it in :).

Hey Comyc,

the firmware for HT-D5 and HT-D6 series is identical, so you should be able to downgrade using the method described in the first post.
Let us know if it works for you.

Re: BD-C5300 Firmware Down-grade

I think you are missing a 2 at the end there:
46.4.199.222
That should work
just put that in the DNS settings on your BD player and try and force an update from the settings menu. It should try and load a firmware far above the one you have right now. i.e. 1090.0
let us know how you get along.

Re: Extended power cable ?

Hey all you need to do is, go to your nearest home-store and get the following: 1. a 3 wire cable 1.5mm long enough to reach from plug to TV 2. a wireable plug connector 3. a 240V cable connector thing, ideally small enough to hide behind the TV i.e. http://lh4.googleusercontent.com/public/yb88N2PKT...
