Re: [!!!] Rooting LATEST H firmware

Well, at least in version 2710 the OTN Support option is still accessible on my device. With with version did Samsung introduce this change?

Re: [!!!] Rooting H series (updated 29/03/2015)

Ok, let's kickstart this thing. ;-)

I'm going to offer an additional ?50 for a root method that works with the newer firmware versions. Anyone willing to chime in?

"Full Apps" location when switching SmartHub region

As many of you know, you can switch the SmartHub region to get access to different local apps. I noticed that in the list of available countries there is an entry called "( Full Apps )". But switching to this entry only deleted all apps from the device. The app store is also completely empty. Is the...

Re: [!!!] Rooting H series (updated 29/03/2015)

Btw, I'd be willing to donate some more money and time for beta testing if it helps to get root access on the newer firmwares.

Re: [!!!] Rooting H series (updated 29/03/2015)

Alright, just got a new H6270 device delivered - Disabled OTN support right away, but it already shipped with version 2710. :(

Any advice? I'm seriously considering returning the tv. Or should I keep it and just wait until root is working again?

EDIT: Root doesn't work with v2710 as expected.

Re: [PC] SmartHub Widget Manager app (C/D/E/F series)

Still, just being able to use the SmartHub Widget Manager to push apps to the tv (instead of having to go the root/ftp route) would be some much easier.

Has anyone ever looked into this security check? Is it a server side issue or some kind of watchdog running locally?

Re: Move apps from one tv to another?

Alright, thanks for the information.

I remember that you get an security error when trying to sync some of the "official" apps with the SmartHub Widget Manager. Could this be related to the encryption?

Btw, with part of the app do I have to decrypt? The .img file inside the folder which contains the widget.info, config.xml.spm, widget.license and all the icon files?

Re: Move apps from one tv to another?

Ok, gonna give it a try and get back to you.

Just though somebody had already compared an app downloaded on an f- and h-series to see if they are indeed identical. Would be nice to know...

Re: Move apps from one tv to another?

And how about compatibility across different devices? Are the apps basically all the same across different devices and series? Why I'm asking: Let's say I using a brand new H6270 which shipped with the latest firmware. Since root isn't yet possible on the device, I'm looking for a way to get some of...
