Re: SamyGO Mouse and Keyboard extension

Hi, I'm not author of NetSurf for Samy but from binary can say that it uses static SDL library from SamyGO sourceforge download page. I built NetSurf with this library too, but abandoned this idea because for full featured browsing it lacks a lot of features. What I noticed in static SDL library reg...

Re: 32B579 service menu model change to b670?

Hi, As I look at Samsung TV specification PIP option for all models are defined as "1 Tuner PIP". On my B650 PIP function is active on all sources but TV and only source for PIP is TV. So there is no way to use PIP function while you watching TV channel and no way to get something other as TV channe...

Re: Games for US samsung models

Hi, I registered my LE46B652 as LN46B650 with its own UDN number and successfully run downloaded game. All you need with you European TV is some valid US ZIP code, corresponding US TV model # and Internet Explorer (I failed to register with Firefox). Only question if offered games worth you wasted t...

Re: Half-resolution framebuffer (?)

Hi, This info definitely should help when people will start porting (graphical) frameworks like Qt\Embeded, Cairo and others. I was playing with SDL sources and found than Samsung ported SDL to use some memory which address is accessible using GetFrameBufferAddress() function. Using pmap I found tha...

Re: Volume control for external audio output

Hi, I see the reason why Samsung not going to add support you asked. It is because with external audio playback TV passes sound as bit-stream without touching it. If this is PCM sound it is not difficult to add volume control but if this is AC3 sound there is a lot of decoding and coding which will ...

Re: The maximum size of an external hard drive connected to your

Hi, I successfully use my 1,5TB Samsung STORY Station hard drive formated as NTFS. However it has separate power source. And problem with ext3 file system is known - TV shows only fat and NTFS drives in sources menu, but automounts ext3 drives and they can be used when you connect to TV using telnet...

Re: [HOW-TO] Restore boot.img to TV

Hi,
I do not have answers to your questions, but I think you can find some resources that can help you at Samsung's Flash software page. Overal OneNAND architecture is discussed at several places, one of them is RFS 1.3.0 Porting Guide_v1.13.

Re: Hot-Standby mode possible? (network up, but no video/audio)

Hi,

When your Samsung TV is on and you choose PC as source but there is no running PC connected at VGA (D-SUB) input, LCD matrix turns off after about 30 seconds. I do not have equipment to measure power consumption in this state but it should be minimal.

Happy Samy hacking!

Re: Is telnet FROM TV possible?

Hi, zip archive is perfect, i downloaded zip directly to my tv, unzipped and "./busybox" command displays all compiled in applets. But in attached busybox version there is no telnet applet and it could be that this is reason for bus error (on my LE46B652 it gives normal output "telnet: applet not fo...
