Best TV to buy for rooting, mutliregion apps, and where to buy?
Hi I would like to buy a 32" TV for a family member, root the TV, and set them up with a DNS service for apps from multiple regions etc. We have a UE32H5500 ourselves in our bedroom, which I rooted with the help of this forum, and it has apps from multiple countries. We are very, very happy wit...

Re: Rooting LATEST H firmware [discuss]
Do you know if it would be possible to get a network IP for mscend.net and samsungotn.net that I could use to block all hosts on those domains?

Re: Rooting LATEST H firmware [discuss]
Tomato firmware is fine, it allows to block "URLs containing string". Doesn't mean no other fw can do it, just talking about the one I know :) Yeah, Tomato is great, you are lucky! I used it before on a Linksys WRT54GL, I am going to see if I can find it although I would not be surprised ...

Re: Rooting LATEST H firmware [discuss]
So far it seems I can add a bogus DNS entry for msecnd.net, but it does not allow me add *.msecnd.net so it is not working properly. What might work would be if I manually blocked ALL of the hosts, like abcd.msecnd.net - can you please post a list of the hosts and I can test it? List is UNLIMITED. ...

Update: 3. Bogus DNS entry In Network Setting >> DNS >> DNS Entry I selected add new DNS entry, and then entered msecnd.net as the host and the IP 10.0.0.1. When I try to ping msecnd.net in now attempts to ping 10.0.0.1, but when I load the test website [url=http://"https://az833301.vo.msecnd.n...

I have read saying up a 'bogus' DNS for the two domains so they cannot resolve may be what Iv should do. Do any of you know how to do this? I tried the options but have not been able to figure out out.
I can post screenshots of the DNS and routing options if that helps?
