Re: VPN

Please, be more specific. For such a generic question I can give just as general answer: yes.

Re: Control TV thru LAN

There is some DLNA way to play videos, at least I can do that from my android phone (Samsung) with the iMediaShare App. I don't have to do anything from the TV (it just needs to be ON), I can select a video from the iMediaShare and make it play on the TV.

Re: [How-To] Remote Control Signal Over Lan?

Hello, this uses port 2345 and the Android app tries to connect to 55000 and says connection refused.

Edit: Ok, now I found out how to configure the app.. Works now.

Re: Watch TV over LAN?

Does anybody know is it enough to send the saved stream directly to a network socket, or does it need some container? I tried once streaming the saved file with vlc (while PVR+ was saving it to my computer), and it was working, but of course not very elegant method. Better if direct way is found.

Re: TV as remote control

Hello, cool. That's just what I tried 1.5 years ago; http://forum.samygo.tv/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=347 I did some modifications to the iguana driver in order to get it compile, compiled lirc to the tv, also made a simple binaries independent of lirc that could send predefined ir commands. I did a lot o...

Re: Persistent SamyGo apps - a guide?

Hello, I was thinking a failsafe method for those autostart scripts. Preventing the case something goes wrong and TV goes to infinite boot / restart loop. How about when the samygo.sh starts, it disables itself from being run, then launches a fork which sleeps for about a minute or so, and after the...

Re: MPlayer port for B-series

I wonder is it based on the original mplayer, or the new fork, mplayer2. I think the mplayer2 would be better for TV usage.
