Without any additional HW, B8090 cannot show 3D movies... It's hardware does not contain IR emitter.

I have one USB IR emitter which does not need kernel drivers, so it might be possible someday, if we just figure out what to send.

I think it's different than standard IRDA transceiver.
With help of small micro-controller and IR led, like AttinyX5, we could emulate USB device and/or using from EXLinks RS232.
We just need a synch program to send IR activation command on even (or odd?) frames of movie.
Also I don't know if integrated player could handle 60fps movies. But it's possible to use computer & HDMI port to feed 60fps movie.
If we use our computers, it's easier to put that IR emitter device on computer. There will be small delay due HDMI Input lag of our TVs.
But with some adjustment, I am sure that we could watch 3D movies on our TVs...
