Lag between SD and full HD mode

When switching channels on some STB connected to my Samsung B651, there is significant lag when going from 720x576 to 1920x1080 (SD to Full HD), and vice-versa.

This is really annoying, not to mention that STB is slow itself. Browsing channels sequentially is a nightmare, and since this is my deep-nested habit, I consider cancelling HD channels (since there are only dozen of them for this STB provider).

Is there any way for making this faster? Some hack, service menu configuration, etc...?

I aware from that. But I believe there is no work around for this problem.
