SAMSUNG UE46B7000WW strange noise in Stand by mode

Post by minotavrs » Thu May 16, 2013 8:39 am

Hello all. I have had my Samsung UE46B7000WW for just 3 years. When my TV is in stand by mode I have notice a strange sound for 1 or 2 seconds, like open or check something inside of TV ... This happens every 2 hours. i suspect network issue or check... anyone to help me... I have no idea what is that.
Any and all insight would be greatly appreciated!

maybe capacitors on power board? this is often reason if tv suddenly wont power on. Open back pannel and check if capacitors are ok (visually - broken capacitors are not plain top, but rounded, not flat)

I have no reply. :?
Sorry!
A similar thing happens to my TV too (UE40B8000XW).
In standby mode the screen stay off but you can hear clicks every now and then randomly.
The same sound as of the relay at boot (with shorter and low tone).

Any explain?

juuso might be right. Here is a reference website to clarify the problem:

P.S. Please use headphones output mode to check if that sound is not produced by the TV's internal speakers.
