Thank you! But as another user already said above there are several points in that tutorial which are not clear to somebody who has never done this before. I see great danger of bricking my device and will leave my hands off.

If you want hack your TV, make universal hack USB, rename VALDEUC directory to VALAUSC, edit platform.sh file and first_run.sh.
Then follow steps on manual.
Should work.

I hacked my FW 3005.1 with Widget-Hack.
Then I updated to FW 3007.1 and hacked TV with Hotel Mode Hack.
Widget is still there when I start Internet@TV.
Can it be removed? If yes, how? Can I just log in via FTP and delete the whole widget-folder?
There is no possibility to remove it via the widget menu.

nomad2k4 wrote:Thanks for the info. I had started to do this earlier, but wasn't sure which files should be changed. The following steps worked for me on a PN58C7000. Not sure if steps 6-7 were needed. I did not have an .scm file in my Hotel mode dump so I created the zip manually.

1. Renamed ./T-VALDEUC to ./T-VALAUSC
2. Renamed ./modules/T-VALDEUC to ./modules/T-VALAUSC
3. Changed all ocurrences of T-VALDEUC to T-VALAUSC in ./first_run.sh
4. Changed all ocurrences of T-VALDEUC to T-VALAUSC in ./modules/T-VALAUSC/usr/sbin/platform.sh
5. Copied files from Hotel mode dump folder T-VALAUSC\Clone to ./HotelMode
6. Created ./channel_list_PN58C7000_1035.zip containing files from Hotel Mode dump folder T-VALAUSC\Clone
7. Added usb_mount directory and usb_mount/1.txt to the zip file

I can now connect to the TV via telnet and ftp.
Woohoo. Hard to believe if this works...

Isn't the widget hack disabled by Samsung in fw after 3005.1?

Solution -> Hotel Mode hack.

Call Service and do not waste your time. I apologize, you can't fix it, at least no one had success... :(

Widget-Hack does'nt work with latest firmware anymore. Use Hotel-Mode-Hack instead.
Firmware-Downgrade is not possible.
I'm from Germany too, if you need help contact me.
