I have this fast output in terminal window on each TV source (all other cable removed from TV).
If I enter the numbers step by step for formating the rwarea, shortly a menu or response is shown and scrolling away ...
Is this normal?

I hacked my tv with widged first and then I tried the HmH.
In HmH script first_run.sh many errors occur, but I could connect with telnet but mounting nfs was not possible.
I tried to run first_run.sh again and now I have no telnet access.
My firmware is 2002.0.
I think, I must format the rwarea now.

The scrolling is ending when SAT cable is plugged.
Because of no cable should be connected, I switched in TV menu from SAT to terristic and then I can unplug SAT cable and the scrolling is gone.

But I can not format mtd_rwarea:

"umount: cannot umount /mtd_rwarea: Device or resource busy"

All cables and Devices are unplugged.
I have tested in TV mode, MediaP, EXT source..
Please help.....

Device is busy because of attached SAT cable. You can`t format /mtd_rwarea until cable is attached. I do not know how to stop your running log, be sure - you enter some commands and TV acceps it even you do not notice it - be careful, do not harm your TV while you`re typing.

One of ways, not the easiest: log whole output to log file and type commands to console (go blind until partition number is needed and stop). Then analyze log and if you were right, go further to find out what partition number is needed (analyze log again, skip the rubbish...)

Now I'm able to connect TV with terminal (no permanent log scrolling)
No cable or stick is attached to TV
I try to format the mtd_rwarea partition (partition number 14 in my case) but device is busy????????

Hi.

I think I got a solution without using the exlink cable.
After successful hotel mode hack I made the same mistake with the factory defaults after some unwanted installations.
Had the same problem and got stuck at the "USB to TV" write back :?

Added (beside the usb_mount directory) the following directory structure to the channel list on the USB Stick:
network_opt/usr/sbin/usb_mount (no files, just the empty directories)
After I wrote the modified channel list back to my sammy, I was able to do to "USB to TV" write back ;)

Worked for me.
TV: Samsung C6710 with 3008.3
