Controll Q Modell by IP or Serial (Exlink)

Post by da2001 » Tue Feb 20, 2018 9:07 am

I need to control a Q(7) Modell by IP or serial link for homeautomation purpose. As i understand right, its actual not possible to do that by EXlink, can anybody confirm? Does the Q Models accept WOL Commands to turn it on?
I also tried a lot by HDMI CEC on HDMI1, but the TV doesnt accept these commands. Anynet+ is activated in the settings menue.

This depends on J Series, not Q. I´m a little bit worried to destroy the EX-Link Port with RS232 instead of 3.3v ttl signals. For example.

All Tizen's are not using TTL (J and above)

At least, as long as "Instant ON" and "Always Instant ON" options from service menu are enabled (default), TV is in true power (C-)state BUT it unmounts USB, shutdowns panel, speakers and everything possible (you can see it in Exlink debug output). Given that the principle of standby nowadays is to "consume the less possible power", I've got some doubts on any reason for serial to stay alive :)

if that fails, i need to move over to turn on the device by hdmicec. But that was my last option, because i already tried to control the device by cec and it doesnt recognize my cec adapter. little bit of hope is left.

No special needs. Just need to turn on/off the tv for homeautomation purpose. Infrared is no option, because of latency and the same IR code for on/off.
