Would love to get you some source if I knew how? I would be do it now. Don't have someone I know well enough in the USA and or Canada to get the source. I did ask them for a screen shot so you can see the menu.

It definitely works the way I described even the notes in the home automation explain it ... so it's there

Trying to get you a screenshot and model of the menu option and TV model.

But with the Region differences my understanding is that the firmware is a standard one across the world. How it installs and enables things is most likely done on previous firmware region / model number ?

Just additional comment one of the home automation devs that wrote the integration came on the forum after many complaints over the world (As the only integration into the home automation is the driver they built and ONLY works with IP) that isolates everyone but USA and Canada.

When asked why he said something about power AAA+ rating in USA and Canada allowed to have the NIC awake when in sleep mode. Other countries they would lose that power effiency rating as their specifications are more strict.

That's what Samsung told them .....

That's why I was trying to hunt down were this is hidden :)

Looks it's hidden even in manual :D
Actually I had a look and couldn't see any documentation about such feature even in supposedly US manual. As we see there usually all features are documented and some are told to "depend on area" (e.g. no PVR/no PIP in US...)
That's why I asked you if you had any source, I'd like to believe you but I'm still in doubt :)

Hey you the expert I am just a Muppet trying to figure this out. I was thinking of it. Not sure if they use different NICs to have the functionality. Or there is a jumper allowing power. In my service menu IPv6 is on and is an option.

That is suppose to be under "expert settings" it was introduced in firmware 1114. In the USA and Canada regions. They Did tell that dev they working on a option for Europe.

I was hoping it's actually there already.

Are you sure it's not a feature of 2018 Q series only? (QxxN)

Is there a way to check the 2018 service menu or software to see where it sits
