SamToolBox Channel Editor

Postby ovtx62 » Thu Jun 16, 2011 7:54 pm

Hi,
I delevopped a new Channel Editor supporting Serie-C and Serie-D.

It provides following features:
· SCM archive file support for all TV Set generation (B-Series to D-Series)
· Stand-alone channel map file support
· Multi-Tab edition
· Channel map sorting based on a reference channel list
· Easy channel filtering
· Display various database (Transponder, Satellite, Service Provider)
· Edit capability (Cut, Copy, Paste, Delete, Swap Channel, Add Channel, Channel number increment and decrement) with multi row selection support

I mainly checked with UE46C7000 TV and map-SateD files. I will need some SCM files from Serie-C/Serie-D to better decode fields of map-AirD/map-CableD files. So if you can help me, send me your SCM through PM.
As this is Beta release, please don't forget to backup your SCM before modifying it.

This is Beta release for win7 and win-XP. Linux version will follow.

Please let me know your feedbacks or any bugs/problem you may encounter.

Enjoy

Note: please be tolerant as this my first open source SW. ;)

Hi,
here is the linux version (tested with Ubuntu 11.04)

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=5KMCQ53C

It requires to have Qt 4.7 run-time libraries installed. You can get them from http://qt.nokia.com/download or from you apps installer (eg. synaptic).

your feedbacks are welcome ;)

enjoy !

this is really working. I can finally list channels on my D series TV and I can change channel order/numbers.

but I have two issues:

1. I can't see the channels from Air or Cable antenna. (only Sat works)
2. I can't add new channels because I don't know how to enter the frequency. is this possible ?

Thanks.

ilkera,

Air or Cable map view should be displayed. May be some fields could not be displayed correctly but the map table should be created. One possible case to have an empty tab (no table shown) is due to empty map file.

Please send me through PM your SCM file.

I never tried to enter directly a channel. This is quite advanced topic as it requires you know the different parameters of your channel.
Best solution is to let the TV sat decoder do the scan. If the decoder is not able to find the channel, it is probably due to some reception issue.

B series mapAirD does not seem to parse correctly. Details are in the Wiki

Hi,

my scm file surely has channels from my cable provider. But the tool shows cable table as empty. I've tried to send you a PM with attachment but received an error stating that the board attachment quota has been reached. How else can I send it to you ?

For adding a channel, I know the required parameters but these are not available in the tool (maybe they are not also available in the scm file tables)
When I scan sat TV can't find it. SAT provider listings shows atransponder which is not available on the TV transponder selections. Any idea about why the transponder list is limited on these TVs ?

ok; I've sent you the megaupload link for my scm file.

and I was able to enter new transponder on the TV. so that problem is solved (without the tool of course)

Ilkera,
SamToolBox v0.2 is able to open the .scm that doesn't contain the map-AirD or map-CableD files.
I can only find map-SateD file and the tool is able to open (it contains 1994 channels)

Does anybody know why the SCM export doesn't include map-AirD/map-CableD ?
