1. Wrong thread for your question ;)

2. sounds like you are in service menu and try to access the hotel mode option without having hotel mode enabled in seperate hotel mode menu (mute119...)

Sent from my Zenithink ZT180v1 - ePad
//UE40C6500 @ T-VALDEUC 3011 // rooted manual HotelMode style // PVR to NFS via 18MB on-the-fly sparse XFS //
FYI: you can close your ssh session with SamyGO with

Code: Select all

~.
If you can't fix it using dvct tape, you are not using enough dvct tape.

Why ?? on this thread everyone is discussing the different options that can be enabled when enabling the extended service menu (PVR, 3D support, channel guide, etc), I don't see how asking about changing the region code on the extended service menu here is wrong.

Of course I did that, it's mentioned countless times on this thread.

In any diference on service mod and extended service mode.

Can I turn this on 40ES6500? The wiki has service mode and extended service mode, but not how to enter each one.

You could try to reset the TV to factory condition:
With the television on, hold down the EXIT button for 15 seconds until you're given the option to RESET the TV.

on 3018.1 you need to send the special remote buttons FACTORY and 3SPEED to enable extende service menu.
there are several methods to do this ( programmable IR, IR-didodes on audio out, LAN-control...)
//UE40C6500 @ T-VALDEUC 3011 // rooted manual HotelMode style // PVR to NFS via 18MB on-the-fly sparse XFS //
