Please help - how do I enter Service Menu to change area.

I've tried standard resets but seem to be stuck in Nordic (Denmark/Finland/Norway/Sweden). I need UK/Ireland to get me EPG in the right time zone.

Model code - BD-D8500N-XE
Software - BPH-D8500EUB-1011.0

Hi

How did you root the 8500 ........ I was trying the change the country code (to make it region free) and now the unit is a brick ......... I found a hardware fix so now I can get it up and running but it will not keep the settings and won't play any region discs only region free discs ....... if I undo the hardware fix goes back to being a brick (black screen "Hello" in the display ... that's all).

Do you know how to actually enter fields in the service menu eg: the country .... it is blank and I can't enter anything into it so I can only pick "other" for the country when I do the set up (each time I turn it on).

My unit is a BD-D8500/XY (Australian) .... I can get into the service menu with the hardware fix but not the normal state and will loose all the setting when it is removed.

Any ideas would be gratefully appreciated.
