Hi,i have the HT-D5550 with firmware 001007,and this wont play cinavia discs, i was woundering about it when some peole with the BD5550 model was talking about downgrading from 001012 to 001010 to get rid of the cinavia,but as i understand this wont help?Is this same models: BD5550 and HT-D5550?exept for the speakers system etc

Very confusing message.
If you have 001007 on HT-D5550 then there should be no cinavia installed. If you have 001013+ then you can downgrade to 001012 which is without cinavia.

I agree to what you say,and i was very surprised too,i played the movieThe Green Hornet 3d,after about 16min i had the cinavia message,and sound was off,But when i put the same MKV file on a external hdd,och conected it to the usb in the player,then there was no cinavia problem.This is in sweden by the way

I am guessing by playing it that you burned it to disc first? What does the cinavia message look like? I.e do you have a screenshot can you get it to come up again?
I am wondering whether it is not coming from the ht but by the way the disc was created.

I was ready with camera at the 16min,but suddenly now cinavia doesnt show up,! i fastforwarded the film to about 15min,this is the only diffrence since last time when cinavia showed,i cant explain this in any way,i hope someone else can

To get the same effect you woul need to let it run for the 15 min although I found that the message only ever came up after 20 min running. Interesting though that the cinavia module is potentially active for discs but not mkvs at that firmware version.

ah ok i guessed it was at a certain place of the movie that they hided the cinavia stuff,i didnt know it needed to be played a certain amounth of time to show up,this may explain why it didnt showed up when playing from a usb hard drive because iam sure i fastforwarded some minutes that time,BUT the real question is why do i have cinavia from the first place?i shouldnt have with version 1007... one way of breaking cinavia could be by fooling the player that its beeing fastforwarded by inserting wrong data on the disk while burning it,i dont know but i hope it gives any programmer out there some ideas
