It's not possible in short. CI+ TV's has different kernel also.

I think that downgrade from CI+ to CI could be possible, but not otherwise. There are some extra parts soldiered to motherboard in CI+ devices. They are marked with leading "CIP" on PCB. For example there is a chip marked as "LVC16244A" around the CI socket which is not present in non-ci devices.
