SamyGO modification of init.d scripts

Post by ivopz » Mon Apr 24, 2017 11:53 am

Hello,
I have downloaded the original SamyGO_Extensions_SmartHub_v0.03.6_r15_for_genoas_20111102175523.zip
modified nfs mount scripts in ../etc/init.d/ and zipped again as samy.zip, corrected compression size in the xml, and I have the following widgetlist.xml:

Code: Select all

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<rsp stat="ok">
  <list>
    <widget id="samygo">
      <title>samygo</title>
      <compression size="30751727" type="zip" />
      <description />
      <download>http://10.0.0.1/samy.zip</download>
    </widget>
</list>
</rsp>
Samsung TV serie D model 6100 Europe version if that matters at all.
When I install original zip, SamyGO launches and attaches to TV firmware just fine. When I install my modified zip file, TV just restarts.
I have tried to just unzip original zip file and zip all files back. Again TV restarts.
What is so special about that zip file ? I am doing something wrong using zip to zip it ?
Please advise.

Why do not you replace specified init script via ftp instead?

I usually connect via netcat and cat the script into the console directly. But when I have to do some application development, I have to reinstall local apps and it blows away SamyGO, that's why I want to have it modified version ready to go and install along other apps being developed by me.
Please advise.

Use native Linux zip, not winrar and not WinZip. Perhaps 7zip could be OK too.
If I was you, i would zip your copy of SamyGO right on TV. E.g.

Code: Select all

. /dtv/SGO.env

zip -r myfiles.zip mydir

I don't have /dtv/SGO.env. Where do I get it ? And how it would affect a zip?
I use OSX and Linux zip, both produce a zip that restarts the TV instead of injecting into the OS.
