Have a Samsung 3D, UE40D7000 series TV. Had a Seagate 1TB external drive connected (power source from TV) for recording. All working great for a couple of months and one night last week it stopped. I have updated the firmware. Samsung help ? useless. In searching for a solution it seems that a conflict that can occur when recording with a HDD when the power source comes from the tv. I'm no expert on this stuff and doing things step by step.
I can get another drive that has an external power source but what I have read online there seems to be problems with recording which can occur with lots of extenal devices. Has anyone any recommendations re an external drive that will work.
No info from Samsung regarding a recommended drive.
Thanks
Mary
