Do you have a better resolution picture ? The signal names cannot be read and I'd like to compare them with what I found on Renesas.
Thanks in advance.

Traces goes there (blue marked):

If i can follow correctly, the exact pins on IC-VIDEO SWITCH SiI9489ACTUC, are (blue marked), so sbav1 is right it`s IC bus for VGA <bla bla bla>:

Page 23 of this service manual.
(Actually it say Renesas on top of that page...)

Also on page 9, there is the "Boot file Download" section tha utilizes the "Mstar ISP Utility" which may help resolve the problem in this thread... I'd like to have a copy of this utility...for testing. I'm sure Samsung has something very similar!

It seem that the Weltrend WT61P805 is a popular chip. We should document it!
Any news?

Suggestions:
1. Find a device (with this chip) that is well documented with schematics, service manual and PCB pictures.
2. Get some high resolution PCB pictures showing the various connections and traces to the chip.
3. Figure out what all the pins does.
4. Make our own datasheet! :D

On closer inspection: this pin/track on C650 mainboard is not used for partition switching; I think this is Valencia SoC reset circuit, much more likely.

Which exact is eeprom chip on D series manboard? Is this green marked one, ATMLH134 (AT24C02) ?

We could desolder it and:
a)either replace with "proper configured one" from working m/b (where boot flag is known)
b)or reprogram it with for eg. programmer
I2C Eeprom
24XX00, 24XX01, 24XX02, 24XX04, 24XX08, 24XX16, 24XX32, 24XX64, 24XX128, 24XX256, 24XX512, 24XX1025
Chance to get empty atmel chips and pre-programm it for both brick cases - eeprom-repair-kit :)

You can also use the Ethernet multi function interface to read/write the I2C eeprom :)
The 'write' function is not explained in the wiki (I'll add it asap), but it's already included in the sketch source code

Back again:
ULINK2-USB-JTAG-Emulator-ARM9-Cortex-Keil-Ulink-II-Debug-Adapter-ULINK-2 adapter available, might this can be used for specific job?

sad, don`t have arduino, but if this may solve bricked device, why not to order... :)
or maybe rasbery-pi ?

Not sure what device that is, since the ebay link you provided is dead. But just as you discussed in that thread, JTAG depends on knowing something about the device your JTAG'ing. Do you have this info or config files necessary for this board? Still, JTAG will most likely not cover an externally attached EEPROM, AFAIK. In addition it would be hard and overkill.

Much more easy would be to find a simple I2C compatible interface. These should be easy to find, and I don't think you need to buy a whole programmer. The BusPirate is also providing for the I2C protocol (and many others including rudimentary JTAG) compatible device. Very easy to use, as it just uses the serial connection. What you really want is this FTDI cable based on the FT232H... (Or this.)

this is it..., i was almost sure it won`t help here. Just posted you confirm me that.[/off][/size]

Aha, the i probably don`t need to de-solder chip from mainboard at all.
Currently bidding for wilem programer, let`s see, but sure i prefer the way to unbrick without the need to remove chip from m/b.

btw, got and installed new mainboard, set is repaired now. The good thing is - i could make dump of working micom and try to re-flash bricked one.
Omg, need to order arduino too, anyway, i was going to order one for me... (need some advice - this + this are ok? or do i need something else for our goal?) :)
