USB Stick or Hard disc for PVR?

Hello,

can someone tell me if i need a usb-stick or a external hard disc for PVR?

You need external USB disk, which your TV will format to XFS file system. All data on HDD will be lost. Be prepared.
Sometimes large USB pen is enough too, but TV is making some r/w, size checks and usually most pen drives are rejected.

will my TV format it automatically to XFS file system? how long will it take? i have set the PVR but i didnt use. when or how will the tv start to format?

i have activate PVR on D5700. timeshift and record works (tv program without digital receiver). but not with tv program that i am receiving with the digital receiver. why does it not work? what can i do?

PvR works only for internal digital sources but not for external, connected over cables even digital.

Briefly: works only for dvb-t,c,s2 depends from tuner which on tv.

what do you mean with:

connected over cables even digital?

what is when i buy a AlphaCrypt Classic CI- Modul like this:

can i receive the tv programs, that i receive with the digital receiver now internal? can i record this programs then?

Yes you can use AC CI module to encode the signal directly on the TV
And Yes you can record to hdd as the signal is comming from your tune

Hi,

ok i will buy a AlphaCrypt Classic CI module and i will test it.

will it be possible in the future that i can schedule the records?
