Bluetooth dongle for 3D glasses:

It would be nice if can use Bluetooth dongle with Cx000 (C8000/7000/6000/..) TVs to so that we can use better and cheaper 3D glasses that are currently work with D series 2011 Tvs.

I talked with Samsung for this request and no positive response. It would be great to have 2011 Bluetooth glasses work with 2010 TVs.

I would be interesting to work in this project if there any one else interested too.

It is interest?ng that, also B series has some "bluetooth" icons in it. So I believe it's highly possible to add 3D Glass support with bluetooth dongle... But special hack needed for that. Also we needed to reverse engineer that glasses protocol... Which is not so easy... :)

It's good. Than you welcome.
I mark this topic sticky.

First we needed to eavesdrop the communication between D series TV (do you have one right) and glasses with ordinary Bluetooth sniffer tools. It's half of the work.
After we probably place a driver to make them working on C series 3D TV.
At last, just needed to make some timing synchronization. Which is the tricky part.

While I am digging exeDSP of GAS6DAAC firmware, I found some "C++ classes" that might give you an idea,,,

CBluetooth3DVideoSyncItem
CBluetooth3DVideoSyncRenderer
CBluetooth3DVideoSyncRendererProvider
CBluetooth3DVideoSyncWindow

Bought one SSG 3500CR 3D Glass for cheap. I wonder signalization between TV and Glass.

If we properly understand the communication, than might use this glasses for ordinary PC monitors!
Also we probably could use this for make a work around D6x00 FULL HD 3D bug.

I found some information here, says there it's not easy to sniff bluetooth communication between devices.
http://www.evilgenius.de/2007/02/03/blu ... ffing-pt1/

But also found other information to how to convert BT dongle to BT sniffer, if your BT dongle has BlueCore4. Unfortunately, my dongle is BlueCore2.
http://www.evilgenius.de/2008/03/29/sli ... a-sniffer/

Where is my other bluetooth module that I bought for arduino. Its using blue-core 4 If I remember correctly.
Anyway, I can also sniff Bluetooth device communication cable physically. But first, needed to try this.

Here is the best BlueTooth hacking information thay I can found.
Thanks Evil Genius!

And here is the information how bluetooth sniffing made...

We needed to reverse Samsung 3D Glass Bluetooth protocol. Sooner or later :)

Moved to D series BrainStorm

Oops! Am I on the bad track? I know what ZigBee is...Thanks for information. But

Where do you know that if the communication made by ZigBee protocol instead of BT?
So what is the meaning of this function in exeDSP than : CBluetooth3DVideoSyncItem ???
Also I open back side of TV and found Bluetooth transceiver, not ZigBee one.
BT.jpg
If this transceiver not placed for synchronizing 3D glasses, what they put it in our TVs for?

And at everywhere, reviews says "Samsung introduces Bluetooth 3D glasses" bla bla. No one talking about ZigBee glasses actually.

And final hit:
http://www.samsung.com/us/video/tvs-acc ... -3500CR/ZA
Key Specs
? Ultra-lightweight ? weighs only 1 ounce
? Rechargeable 3D Active Glasses
? Bluetooth?
? Flexible
Does Samsung LIES again and again?
So please show your proofs.
