create an app for codec interchange/add is it possible??

Hi guys and Gals,
I am a newby here and i keep having a problem with "codec not supported" error.
My mind was wondering and i came to the tought that maybe some of the programmers here at samygo would possibly be able to make a Samsung d series TV APP, that would be able to add certain audio and video codecs to our wonderfull plasma tv's.
I have a PS51d8000 plasma tv and keep running into this codec problem especially with the audio codec called WAVPACK. it seems to be a lossless audio codec wich is becomeing more and more popular.
If anyone has any ideas, about this subject or need any additional info, or you know of another way to accomplish the addition of codecs in our tv's please sound in here.
