Thanks for this comprehensive discussion -- I managed to get everything up and working besides 2 small things:

* Where did you get the nfs.ko module from? The samygo-allinone packages don't include them.
* I can't get vusb to work. g_file_storage.ko dies with "unable to enumerate". Did anyone got this working at all? I'm working around this issue with just mounting cifs shares under /dtv/usb/sda1 -- the usb thumbdrive.

Hello all !
I have been seeing that you succeeded to hack Samsung B2230HD. Can you simply give me a .zip where there is the content of USB drive, in the order to I put them to my USB drive ?
I haven't been able to hack by myself
Thanks !

Hi All!

I have Korean version of FX2490HD TV. This version differs from European variant.
Another SW ver.: T-MSXMAKRC, another h/w ports on rear panel.

I have tried manual rooting mode, but in this version of TV there is no any "save channels to USB" or similar option.

I am able to enter to the Hotel Mode and "Clone TV to USB", but after creating links, files and replacing Clone.dat cloning USB to TV process failed.

Here structure of USB after cloning TV to USB:

Code: Select all

.:
total 4
drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 4096 Jan 1 1970 T-MSXMAKRC

./T-MSXMAKRC:
total 4
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Jan 1 1970 Clone

./T-MSXMAKRC/Clone:
total 124
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 1024 Jan 1 1970 Clone.dat
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 378 Jan 1 1970 FADAT
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 1015 Jan 1 1970 FineTune
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 28000 Jan 1 1970 map-AirCableA
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 52000 Jan 1 1970 map-AirCableD
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 4 Jan 1 1970 map-ChKey
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 5382 Jan 1 1970 PLDAT
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 720 Jan 1 1970 RadioMap
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 9478 Jan 1 1970 SSDAT
I have no any *.scm file (and can't follow manual rooting instructions)

Does anybody have idea on how to root T-MSXMAKRC?
