I've asked in the General forum weather the Samsung XL2370HD monitor is supported or not.
I was told that it is, and to look in this subforum, but I cannot find anything related to it.
Can you tell me if this monitor is really supproted ? If yes, what internal version does it have or where can I check it ?
On the back side the model nr. did not match anything from the wiki page.

Best regards,

Read threads for other monitors, principles are common.
First take picture of first service menu screen - here is your firmware and version...

I've managed to enter the service menu.
It shows the following lines:
Option: 0030 000
Current Flash: Flash 0
Build Date : 6 -14 - 2010
Date of Purchase: 1/6/2011

From this info I could not identify the Monitor in the compatibility list.
Can you help me out ?

There is firmware update available for T-EL23PEUC (on site, AFAIRC).
Judging from contents of this update, this is probably Mstar (Saturn4 ?) based model with very limited firmware functionality. Definitely not supported.
IMO, possibilities for any substantial improvements are quite limited with this set (at best you may be able to turn on *.jpg / *.mp3 USB playback, but I doubt it's fully implemented in current firmware).

Hackable? I think so (firmware update is not encrypted; various debug menu[s] in firmware; also, serial console should be most likely available somewhere in this model), but: probably not worth the effort.

I've found an updated firmware

I'll install this to see if there are any new improvemetns.

I'm interesed in the media player part as the P2370HD model has built-in media player, but on this I could not find.
Maybe it's a completely different HW ?
