LT24A550LBMZD - From Brazil

Post by SoBad »

Hello!

I'm living in Brazil, and own a Samsung LT24A550. So we didn't had any firmware update until now, since I bought it in 2011/september.

Our TA550 24" series are many deffective, all issues about LCD screen black areas (not dead/stuck pixel). The local Samsung do nothing about... it's a very, very bad way to maintain their consumers.

Well, we couldn't update with any other firmware vesion from World? Our models not supportting .RMVB, or .MKV (with inded SUBs), and others issues.

And, how I could access the service menu in this model?

Thanks in advance.

P.S. sorry my poor english...

I am using a T27A550. It has no problem playing back mkv and rmvb.
therefore, maybe Brazil version have some limitions.

To enter service menu, please try

1)
POWER OFF + MUTE + 1 + 8 + 2 + POWER
or
POWER OFF + INFO + MENU MUTE + POWER

2)
From Service Menu select Control, than Sub-option
Find the options you need.

normal remote control. Nothing special. While in stand by mode, enter slowly (one per second) info menu mute power and you get to service menu.

The Monitor is connected to the Internet (wired) via 2 switches and a router (all Netgear) and I gets is IP, GW and DNS via DHCP. There is no proxy and I don't think anything is blocked by my Dutch ISP (Ziggo)
