Thx Zoel... But just reinstalled it via USB methond... Dont know why root was gone... Noticed it because my mapped Network drive (to TV) was lost and PC tooks long time to boot (searching the Network)

Pahh! Now had to reset/reinstall all my nice settings Most of them are saved... fortunately....

It happened to me recently, fake Skype libs were replaced by original ones (maybe during these mysterious and repeated startup smarthub looong updates) so no more autostart->no more root.
Samsung must be trying things just to annoy us. Always do backups is lesson to be learned.

My ES 6710 was also rooted with skype / InstallSamyGO widget method.

Now Smarthub did a auto update and root is gone
Did try to run the samyGo widget again but no succes.
Removed the SamyGo widget and did the 8 steps again. But when i put usb stick into tv, no samygo widget appear in smarthub. I guess Skype app is updated now.

How can i get root back?

did it for the second time. now the samygo widget was in smarthub and reinstalled root again.

Is there a way to block all smarthub updates? Sometmes smarthub ask to update, but somethimes it's automatic.

Even better would be to block Skype only... I think we need someone of the professionals..
Maybe there is a way to protect the modded lib against updates...

I've experimented a bit about this, blocking at router level visited URLs by TV/smarthub.

Unfortunately updates (at least: are they needed?) seem to be retrieved from samsung.com which is also checked to see if TV is connected to internet.
Here are raw commonly visited URLs:

Blocking all of them except samsung.com cause strange things like endless updates, smarthub reset->unroot
From what I tried, I can keep at least blocking ad/survey/? domains:

I think we need to figure out a Hotel Mode hack like C and D series instead of Skype autostart.
