please, can you give us more informations?
- TV model?
- previous firmware ?
- how did you upgrade?
- did you clear the root before upgrade? did you factory reset the TV?

you used this https://forum.samygo.tv/viewtopic.php?f=63&t=7982 to root 2007.0 after upgrade?

I'm asking because I'm currently on 2004.1 and I'm not sure what to do:
- should I upgrade to 2007.0 and use the https://forum.samygo.tv/viewtopic.php?f=63&t=7982 method to get root
or
- downgrade to < 2000.2 and switch to this https://forum.samygo.tv/viewtopic.php?f=63&t=10705 ?

Of course donor's root still works, but from single report here, I'd prefer confirmation that "new-Skype" root works as well on 2007.

Well i have had 2005 on my ES6300, donor root however didnt work anymore, than i found out that there is a new skype root and that didnt work either. I simply manually updated to 2007, also disabled OTA and blocked in router settings, afterwards i tried donor root and it workes again and it even works better now. Maybe its because i had libfastui which got deleted. It may lead to problems

But i dient try new skype root on 2007 as i read somewhere 2000.2 and above wouldnt work

Only test on 2007 is worth. It's not impossible that Skype (like) root blocking is gone with Skype on E (btw the ONLY reason why there was a new fw: Skype removal...)

I tried. Unfortunatly, it didn't work for me.

Do the path differ from the donor usb root? Didn't notice yet, but maybe there could be a workaround.
The 128mb.xf file is the same.

Of course. Method doesn't use/need USB (once rooted)
Path to img is same as former Skype root (/mtd_rwcommon/widgets/user/SamyGO/data/128mb.xfs). Anyway, if you just follow installation procedure, you don't have to ask yourself the question.

like i said, i didn't look into details, i just aussumed, and i was right.
(I did'nt take a screenshot or diff the files )
Anyway, it did'nt work for me.

The one who managed to get it work, we don't know if he really has access or if he only saw a succesfull installation, like i did.
Also i have a different TV Model but the same Firmware.

Forget it, badwill makes only unreliable reports anyway
No matter which TV model you own, rootability only depends on fw...
