SEK-2000/ZA to UN46ES8000/ZA install problem

I have a 2012 UN46ES8000/ZA that I'm trying to install a SEK-2000/ZA evolution kit. The TV's current firmware is version 001056. I have mounted the evo kit per instructions and when the TV is turned on it recognizes the kit and loads it, next it looks to install software on the USB which I downloaded from the Samsung 2000 evolution support page. The file on the Samsung SEK-2000 web page states that it is "Upgrade File(USB type) (Firmware) (ver.1.0)" and when downloaded and unzipped contains 3 folders; TB-GFAKUC, T-ECPGAKUT, and T-FXGAKUC. Each folders contains it's respective image and are version 1004.9. After the TV does the initial load/recognition of the SEK-2000 and opens the USB searching for update files and then delivers a message that the upgrade file is not present and the SEK-2000 install apparently stops as nothing on the TV changes. The SEK-2000 install instructions don't even mention using a USB to install/upgrade and I only dumbed onto the firmware upgrade file by searching the Samsung site. Apparently this is not the file the SEK is looking for but I can find nothing that states which file I need. If anyone has installed a SEK-2000 on a 2012 UN46ES8000/ZA and was successful please let me know what I'm doing wrong. Any help or ideas anyone has will be appreciated

After several contacts with Samsung they now say that the SEK2000 is non compatible with the ES8000 series TV's despite the fact that their advertising spec sheets provided to vendors states that it is compatible. They said that the only evolution kit compatible with my TV is the SEK1000 which only brings my 2012 TV up to 2013 levels. Anyway the SEK1000's are on sale and installed in my TV and made a big improvement in all the online functions.

Hey endeeinn,

I have just successfully installed the SEK-2000 on my 46ES8000 TV. It was pretty easy to install and the upgrade went without any issues... It all seems to work fine and I like the new menus and prefer the newer version of the smartview app for iPad/iPhone.

The only bit that wasn't well documented was how to go from an ES8000+SEK-1000 to a ES8000+SEK-2000. In the end the process was to remove the SEK-1000, then let the TV do a firmware upgrade via the net (had to move the LAN cable back to the original port) and once that was done, proceed with the SEK-2000 upgrade, which then worked fine.

All my firmware upgrades were done via the LAN, by the way, none were done via USB at my end.

A.
