Puzzling USB operation

Post by mikeham50 »

Hi all, this is my first post after finding you.

I have a Samsung UE40EH5300 which I believe is an E series.

I recently bought some LED backlights https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01 ... UTF8&psc=1 which plug into the USB port. I am happy with the way they work (normally only while the tv is on) except that something odd is happening. On the occasions that I have been awake to notice, the lights turn on at midnight and go off after one minute.

Looking through the menus, the only thing I can find is that there are three timers for turning the tv on or off, which are all set at midnight by default but are all off and don't know if these have anything to do with it.

It's not really a problem, it just bugs me because I don't know why it's happening and wonder if anyone has any ideas?

Regards,
Mike :D

Hi, thanks for the reply.

I have turned the 'standby upgrade' to off, it was set to 2 hours later (later than what I'm wondering). Is this what you meant?

I subsequently got an error message saying it couldn't connect to the internet, so have now set it to midday, see what happens.

Cheerz,
Mike
