UN40EH5300 - PVR - analog signal

Hello, im from Argentina and i have an UN40EH5300 with a software T-MST10PIBRC-1011.2 and i want to know several things:

1) how can i enable PVR, when a press the "rec" button in the remote control it appears in the screen "not available". For the record i put an hdd 250 gb in the hdd usb port of the tv.

2) the only way of record via PVR is in a digital signal or i can record in my analog cable signal; and that why it shows "not available"

3) i acceded the service menu and i did not found any option to activate PVR. Is it possible that my tv did not have that option?

4) i tried with rusamsungtvcommunicator to look at the hidden options of the service menu, i connected the pc with the tv, in responds to traditional commands (volume, channel) but when i tried "factory" and then "3speed" to look at the hidden option notthing happends and the tv does not respond to the comands sends via pc.

Finally anybody can explain detailed to me how (if there is any chance) to find PVR option on the service menu and what i have to do to activate it.

I am from Argentina too, and just got an UN46EH5300.

I could not get to enable PVR, despite following the detailed steps.

Have you found a way around this ? (I have read that there is a different way of activating it by changing the model from 5300 to 5700).

Please let me know your findings,

Hola Federico, la verdad es que no he podido encontrar la manera de activar el PVR, desde Samsung Argentina me han dicho que este modelo tiene la capacidad de grabar pero que no tendr?a la funci?n activada, que tal vez en un futuro no especificado la activen -v?a actualizaci?n de software supongo-; he intentado directamente conectando un r?gido externo pero sigue apareciendo al apretar el bot?n rojo de grabar el mensaje de "no disponible", he intentado con el m?todo del programa rusamsunsgtvcomunicator el cual se conecta la pc al tv, ?ste recibe los comandos b?sicos pero no los que te permiten extender el men? oculto del sistema -solamente he podido entrar al men? de sistema b?sico que no permite cambio de modelo ni exhibe la funci?n PVR, por lo menos en mi tv-, lo ?nico que me faltar?a probar es con la tv conectada a un proveedor de se?al digital (DirecTv u otros) ya que yo lo he hecho con el cable tradicional, o sea, an?logo. ?No se si vos has podido efectuar alguna otra prueba o con la se?al digital? Por favor contame tu pruebas y como te fueron. Saludos. Diego.

with EH5300 same me, you must use dual ir transmission to unlock greyed option to enable all option.

PVR can't do with Analog channel, PVR only run with digital channel (DVB-T, DVB-C, DVB-S)

Thanks vuhothang. And the only way to have a dual ir transmission is to built one as is it posted in the general forums or there is any simplier way?

El pvr se puede activar pero sirve solo para se?ales digitales, como no tengo antena todavia no lo probe con tdt. para activarlo lean mi post en Monitores , con el control universal OFA que vale 50 pe se puede hacer muy facil. por ahi hay unos cuantos metodos mas , pero el mas facil es con el control baratito.

1 - One For All remote URC-7320 or similar

2 - Press magic key 3 sec then enter 0812
Press magic key 3 sec then enter 994 + magic key + 00020 + red key ( now red key is 3SPEED )
Press magic key 3 sec then enter 994 + magic key + 00027 + green key ( now green key is FACTORY )

with tv turned on press info in tv original remote and green key in ofa remote and thats all
