Script: Samba share from multi fixed servers

For those who are interested, I modified the "04_04_samba.init" script file, with ability to use several fixed servers, because automatic search doesn't always work.

Now it should work with 0 (automatic search), 1 or ...N servers (how many you want)

You just have to edit servers/username/password as usual, rename file and replace the original one.

Samba share with initial script must already work before installing this one, if not it won't work better and I can't help you!
Username and password must be the same on every server.

UPDATE 24/04: No need to download it separately anymore, now included by default in SamyGO-E package

I need your help.
I have Samygo virtual usb running.
When I select it I see:
- video
- photo
- music

When I enter one of these I only see OCAP-LSV and nothing else even after long time.
What shall I do for having SMB starting once before to apply your script?

Here is what you can try, I got samba working again after losing it with that procedure:
-Uninstall SamyGO from smarthub
-power off/on
-Re-root your TV by launching again Test2 widget from smarthub with adequate USB key inserted, launch browser 2 times
-Get ftp access and copy whole SamyGO folder to /mtd_down/widgets/user
-power off/on
-prepare these files (with username/password/server/workgroup) and copy them by ftp to their respective folders:

• smb_userdata -> /mtd_rwarea
  smb.conf -> /mnt/etc/samba
  04_04_samba.init -> /mnt/etc/init.d

-power off/on
-go to see in virtual USB if there is a "smb" folder
-if not go ftp in /mnt/etc/init.d folder and add extension .dis to 03_03_djmount.init, 03_03_nfsmount.init and erase 06_05_samba-server.init because there is already a copy with .dis extension
-power off/on

Maybe some steps are not necessary but from there smb in virtual USB always worked for me, else I can't help you anymore!

Thanks for yor assistance.
Meanwhile the samygo virtual has gone after a few TV switch off....
I will try your procedure but may be I can try to uninstall and reistall as done the first time with the develop method.

I am really not familiar with linux and therefore I am very slow in doing everything.

I will try to follow your instruction as soon as I can.
The TV is shared with the wole family and I have "root" access only during night...

Open the files and see by yourself

You have to set username, password, workgroup and server(s)

If you don't know what you're doing, I advise you to do nothing.

I learn quickly but I have to start somehow..

Reading in the forum I have found that if my SMB server has no user name and passord I can omit to copy the file smb_userdata.
Now I have anyhow created a file smb_userdata like this:
USER=""
PASSWD=""

Don't bother with permissions at all, just copy files.

Better to create username/password, same couple for each server.

Good evening I tested the script and it seems to be ok, but the problem persists ue46es7000 of the samba! I tried to manually start the script this is the error:

The strange thing in /dtv/usb/smb/sdj creates the folder and inside I find the network resource 192.168.178.1 and shares but the contents are not visible!

I tested with Fritzbox modem and pc with win7 but the result is always the same.

SamyGO.zip had been updated, maybe you have to try the new one...
