mute digital out

Post by andbir »

Suggest to make the mute button on the remote actually mute the digital output signal (now it only mutes built-in speakers)
Would be extremely useful for anyone who connected their surround amplifier to the tv, especially if the amplifier does not support anynet+ (hdmi-cec)
Everybody who is using digital out probably already turned off the internal speaker in the setup.

Would be nice to include this functionality in the DTS support module, both in passthrough-mode and actual decode to stereo (as in the current DTS module)
most people with a surround amplifier (DTS-capable) would probably prefer to just pass-through the DTS signal to the amplifier.... decoding to Stereo is nice if you don't have a DTS-capable amplifier but DTS passthrough would be most useful to those who have.
