Read and show a file

How i could be read a file in USB drive? For example, i are watching a movie from USB drive, in the same folder of the movie had a file named "synopsis.txt", that include the several informations about de movie.
My question is, how i could read this file and show yours content in a window, while i`m watching the movie?
Something like:

cat /dtv/usb/sda/somefolder/synopsis.txt

This is possible?

To display the information in the window, you can use the program myButtons
But how to find out what video is displayed?
Maybe someone will know.

I tried the myButtons but do not works in my TV (UN40B7000).
I ask in the myButtons Topic for help, but not yet get answers.
Maybe there is other way.
